From bevelled mirror bricks to hand-finished verre églomisé panels with painterly touches, our mirror collection explores reflection as both material and ornament. Light is not simply captured - it is aged, softened, layered and transformed.
De Ferranti’s mirror surfaces range from structured bevelled mirror bricks, laid in disciplined formations that create depth and rhythm, to expansive antiqued mirror panels that introduce atmosphere and quiet glamour. The bevelled formats catch and refract light at varying angles, adding subtle architectural articulation to walls and bar fronts.
Our distressed and antiqued mirrors are crafted to evoke age and patina. Through carefully controlled silvering and oxidation techniques, the surface develops tonal variation, foxing and gentle clouding that give the glass a lived-in, timeworn character rather than a sterile shine.
At the more artisanal end of the spectrum, our verre églomisé panels are produced using traditional reverse-gilding techniques. Gold, silver or metal leaf is applied to the back of the glass and can be further enhanced with hand-painted detailing, subtle washes, or decorative motifs. The result is a surface that feels layered and luminous, with a softness that shifts as the light changes.
Suitable for domestic and commercial interiors, our mirror finishes are used as wall coverings, splashbacks, ceiling inserts, and furniture panels. Each patination and decorative treatment is tailored to the intended bespoke application, ensuring that reflection becomes an integral part of the architectural narrative rather than an afterthought
