This lapis Greek key mosaic is crafted from rich lapis lazuli, framed with a mother of pearl Greek key band. Deep ultramarine tones meet luminous iridescence in a composition of classical precision. A true statement within our Semi-Precious Stone collection.
Lapis Imperial Greek Key Mosaic is composed of individually cut lapis lazuli tesserae, assembled to create a richly textured field of layered blues – from cobalt and royal navy to mineral-flecked midnight. Natural variations in the stone give depth and subtle movement across the surface.
Running through the composition, a precisely formed Greek key band in mother of pearl introduces contrast and refinement. Its soft lustre catches the light, offering a gentle counterpoint to the density of the lapis field and reinforcing the mosaic’s architectural rhythm.
Part of De Ferranti’s Semi-Precious Stone collection, this mosaic is produced using hardstones delicately cut and hand assembled into luxurious surfaces. Combinations may include lapis, malachite, jasper, rock crystal, amethyst, tiger eye, petrified wood, carnelian, agates, onyx and mother of pearl.
Suitable for feature walls, decorative panels, bathrooms and bespoke furniture inlays, Lapis Imperial Greek Key Mosaic brings classical geometry and rare materiality into contemporary interiors. Custom patterns, borders and material pairings available on request.
The meander is one of the most persistent ornaments of Greek and Roman decorative art. Here it is translated into hardstone and shell, giving the familiar geometry a mineral palette. Compare the flowing Lapis Mare Wave Mosaic and Lapis and Mother of Pearl Wave Mosaic.
