Afrique – Mudcloth Geometry Low-Relief Tile
A handmade wall tile with a near-embossed, low-relief geometric pattern, inspired by African textile and wall-art motifs, drawn in deep charcoal over a warm sand ground.

This 30 x 30 cm ceramic tile is defined by hand-rendered linework: layered diamonds, chevrons and interlocking symbols arranged in rhythmic bands. The relief sits low and close to the surface, almost embossed, so the pattern reads both visually and tactically as light moves across the tile.

Finished by hand, the palette is intentionally restrained, earthy and graphic, with dark iron-brown tones against a chalky beige base. Expect the natural character of handmade production: slight shifts in line weight, small tonal variations and a lived-in, craft-led surface rather than machine precision.

Made for wall applications, it works beautifully as a full field, a framed panel, or a feature zone in splashbacks, niches and stair halls. Lay tiles in the same orientation for a woven, textile-like repeat, or rotate to create a more irregular, mural effect. Pair with grout in warm grey, stone, or soft charcoal to keep the pattern crisp without looking harsh.
