Afrique – Labyrinth Script Low-Relief Tile
A handmade wall tile with a near-embossed, low-relief labyrinth pattern, inspired by African graphic wall art, finished in deep charcoal linework over a warm sand ground.

This 30 x 30 cm ceramic tile is built from dense, interlocking geometry - angular pathways, stepped forms and spiral-like turns that create a woven, maze effect. The relief is low and close to the surface, giving the pattern a subtle lift that catches light softly and adds tactile depth without feeling heavy.

Hand finished and fired, the palette is intentionally earthy and restrained. The dark glaze sits slightly proud against a chalky base, with natural variations in tone and line weight that signal true handmade production rather than perfect repetition.

Designed for wall applications, it works beautifully as a full-field feature where the pattern becomes immersive, or as framed panels in splashbacks, niches and reception walls. Pair with grout in warm grey, stone, or soft charcoal to keep the geometry crisp while letting the surface texture do the talking.
