Beautifully patinated, these patinated bronze briquettes are from De Ferranti’s ‘Alchemy’ Collection. The tiles are handbeaten patinated Brass (bronzed) and bonded to a marine ply base. Also in De Ferranti’s Alchemy Collection are tiles in Brass, German Silver and Copper. Tiles in different metals can be used together to create patterns. Bespoke sizes and finishes are available to order. Current product guidance identifies this design as suitable for walls only.

Patinated Bronze Briquettes and Layered Colour

The rectangular format creates a strong brick-like rhythm, but the surface remains highly varied. Individual pieces move through brown, copper, olive and muted gold, with the handbeaten face catching light differently from tile to tile. This combination allows a wall to feel ordered at a distance and materially complex when viewed close up. Patinated bronze briquettes are therefore well suited to schemes where the metal itself, rather than an applied graphic pattern, provides the visual movement.
