Teos Fire marble is a rare luxury Turkish stone admired for its dramatic deep black ground, burgundy-red flashes, dark grey movement and distinctive linear veining. Its colour has a smouldering, volcanic character, giving the surface the intensity of fire set against night.

While Teos Fire is a contemporary decorative marble rather than a named stone of classical antiquity, its name evokes Teos, the ancient Ionian city on Turkey’s Aegean coast, giving the material a regional and cultural reference without implying an ancient quarry provenance.

In interiors, Teos Fire offers a powerful alternative to more familiar black marbles, bringing richer colour, stronger movement and a more expressive natural pattern. Teos Fire Marble and Dark Stone

The black and burgundy movement of Teos Fire marble can be compared with Portoro di Portovenere, where gold and honey veins cross a black Ligurian ground, and Rosso Francia, whose colour is predominantly crimson rather than black. Composing the Red and Black Movement

The featured image contains angular red zones, charcoal and black areas, fine grey lines and strong white calcite veins. Review the actual slab before fabrication because the red concentration can vary considerably. For wall panels, bar fronts or fireplace elements, place the brightest burgundy areas intentionally and consider whether white veins should continue across adjacent pieces or terminate at a joint.
