Also associated with the trade name Onice Fantasy, this dramatic onyx has a strong decorative presence, especially when polished, bookmatched or backlit, where its internal glow and cross-veining become more pronounced.

While Onice Fantasy Red is a contemporary luxury onyx rather than a single ancient quarry marble, it belongs to the wider family of translucent onyx, alabaster and banded calcite stones prized since Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquity for vessels, carved objects, sacred interiors and decorative architectural detail.

Its rich colour and luminous character make it especially suited to luxury interiors, bar fronts, bathrooms, vanity tops, fireplace surrounds, wall features, furniture and statement panels where rare onyx, warmth, drama and material atmosphere are central to the design.

Onice Fantasy Red and Coloured Onyx

The red banding of Onice Fantasy Red provides a strong counterpoint to the brown mineral palette of Chocolate Onyx. Using the Horizontal Bands

The live image shows dense horizontal red, cream and dark mineral layering. For panels, orient these bands deliberately and review where the strongest pale and near-black passages fall. If backlighting is proposed, test the exact slab to judge how evenly the red areas transmit light. For larger features, consider whether the strongest red bands should run continuously across adjoining pieces or be framed as separate mineral compositions.
