These pale gold glass tiles are made from handblown bubble glass. For those wanting statement decorative materials, these handblown glass tiles, reminiscent of the bubbles in the best vintage Champagne, couldn’t be more opulent. The Effervescence range, from De Ferranti’s Bohemian artisans, is available in a wide range of colourways from Krystal to Champagne pink and more honey and bronze tones to blues and purples.
Effervescence in Pale Gold has a warm, lightly ambered appearance rather than the stronger ochre of Honey Gold. In the photographed surface, clear and pale golden bubbles overlap across a dense field, with individual convex forms catching white, champagne and soft caramel highlights. Their irregular sizes prevent the composition from reading as a fixed repeat and give the surface a more fluid character as the viewing angle changes.
Effervescence in Honey Gold offers a richer, warmer comparison, while Effervescence in Sahara moves towards a more complex olive and amber palette. De Ferranti’s 24k Yellow Gold Mosaic provides a finer tessellated interpretation of gold in glass, while the Glass Mosaic collection offers other scales and reflective treatments.
Pale gold glass tiles can respond strongly to surrounding colour. Warm metals, honeyed timber and cream stone may reinforce their golden character, while cooler stone or plaster can make the transparent bubbles appear brighter and more distinct. Review samples under both ambient and directional lighting before finalising grout, edge details and junctions with adjacent finishes. On larger areas, setting out should also consider how cut pieces meet corners and terminations so that the bubble field remains coherent.
