Clear Bubble Glass Tiles and the Play of Transparency

Effervescence in clear concentrates attention on form rather than strong colour. The photographed surface appears almost colourless, with a dense field of rounded clear and softly grey bubbles emerging from a pale ground. This restrained palette makes changes in light especially legible: highlights collect on the convex forms, while shadow between them gives the surface depth and definition.

Directional lighting can emphasise the relief, while softer illumination produces a quieter shimmer. Plan junctions, corners and cut pieces carefully, especially where the clear surface meets opaque stone, timber or metal, so the transition remains visually controlled.
