Diamanti™ – Crystal brings clear crystal wall tiles into the interior as a dense field of minute-cut glass crystals that catch and scatter light. Inspired by vintage Cartier, the wider Diamanti range includes rock crystal, boudoir pink, ruby red, gold and rainbow multi-colour options. This clear version has a cool, jewellery-like brilliance.
The surface is composed of numerous small faceted glass crystals set on an adhesive backing. Their repeated facets create shifting highlights rather than a flat reflective plane, so the appearance changes with daylight, artificial lighting and viewing angle. The flexible backing allows the material to follow columns and concave or convex forms, as well as walls, cupboard interiors, doors, partitions, screens, ceilings and mirror frames.
Within the Diamanti family, Diamanti™ – Crystal Gold Small introduces a warmer gold-toned alternative, while Diamanti™ – Crystal Small offers the same clear reflective language at a smaller scale. For other light-responsive materials, De Ferranti’s Glass Crystal Tile & Lighting Collection provides a broader reference point. The Fitzrovia bathroom project demonstrates how crystal surfaces can work as a concentrated feature rather than a conventional tiled field.
Clear crystal wall tiles are particularly sensitive to lighting and surrounding finishes. Samples should therefore be reviewed in the intended room, ideally beside the metalwork, mirror, stone, paint or joinery that will sit alongside them. On curved or highly visible surfaces, layout and edge treatment should be resolved before installation so the crystal field reads continuously.
The material is best approached as a decorative interior finish, whether used across a bathroom wall, wrapped around a column or applied to a smaller joinery detail. Its strength lies in controlled reflection, tactile scale and the ability to make light part of the composition.
