From De Ferranti’s Inlay category, this panel demonstrates decorative inlay at its most striking: contrasting materials are set into precisely cut recesses within a stone field and then finished to a flat, unified surface.
Here, deep forms the midnight-blue ground, cut into crisp geometric sections that frame the composition with sharp definition. Over this, four warm quatrefoils in yellow and yellow create a glowing counterpoint, their soft, sunlit tones flecked with natural variation. At the centre of each quatrefoil sits an eye motif, rendered in pale stone with fine linework - a protective symbol that gives the panel its narrative charge.
The palette is intentionally high-contrast and saturated: cobalt-blue depth against golden warmth, finished with clean white outlines that sharpen the geometry and keep the pattern disciplined. Suitable as a feature wall panel, furniture inset, tabletop centre, or framed floor detail, and can be commissioned in alternative stone combinations, scales, and motifs.
