In a London terrace garden, Neisha Crosland’s Haveli collection was used to create a bold exterior feature wall, incorporating a tile-clad built-in seating area in the same tiles. The result is immersive and architectural - pattern and colour applied not just as decoration, but as a usable garden structure that has proven its durability over time.

The wall is composed as a disciplined grid of patterned ceramic tiles, each square carrying its own motif - waves, chevrons, stripes and geometric textures - in a palette of ochres, indigo blues, soft greys, and earthy reds. Together, the modules read like a curated textile archive translated into ceramic, delivering rhythm and variation while maintaining the crisp order of the square format.

nExtending the same tile language onto the integrated seating, the installation becomes a full garden moment rather than a backdrop. The seat reads almost like a tiled plinth or bench within the composition, visually tying the architecture of the terrace to the graphic energy of the Haveli patterns.

nThe tiles have stood the test of time in an exterior setting, retaining their clarity and colour in open air conditions. Underfoot, the scheme is grounded by a chocolate brown terracotta Terra di Siena brick floor, whose warm mineral tone echoes the earthen hues in the Haveli palette and gives the terrace a cohesive, sun-baked warmth in the heart of London.
