Neisha Crosland
Lido

This terracotta travertine slate mosaic, Lido, combines woodfired clay with pale travertine and darker slate in a small-format composition assembled on mesh for easier setting out. The mixed modules can be used as a field material or developed as borders and accents on floors, walls and tabletops. The contrast between warm terracotta, lighter stone and darker slate gives the surface its character, while the mesh-mounted format helps preserve the intended spacing of the small pieces during installation.

Terracotta Travertine Slate Mosaic and Surface Character

The contrast between fired earth, creamy stone and dark slate gives the pattern a layered mineral character. Small modules allow the composition to work as a field, border or accent, while mesh backing helps maintain the intended relationship between the different pieces during installation.

Colour, Grout and Surface Review

A terracotta travertine slate mosaic should be reviewed as a mixed material system rather than as three independent finishes. Confirm grout, sealing and cleaning methods that are appropriate to all components, and dry-position border or accent sections so that transitions into surrounding field materials are resolved before fixing.

Because this is a handmade surface, the terracotta travertine slate mosaic should be judged across several pieces rather than from one isolated sample.

Natural variation is part of the specification, so the finished field should be expected to carry small shifts in colour, edge and surface movement.

Within the same collection, compare Parquet de Versailles in Terracotta and Legno for alternative treatments of colour, module or surface. The wider Terracotta Floors & Walls category provides the broader clay context, while Pavements, Pavimenti & Flooring offers a complementary reference for material-led flooring.
