White Agate Mosaic – semi rough

This semi rough agate mosaic is rooted in ancient mosaic traditions yet refined for contemporary interiors, celebrating repetition, restraint and subtle tonal movement. Its small-format tesserae create a finely textured surface. A quiet, almost monastic composition, the White Agate Mosaic is formed from precisely cut 12 x 12 mm stone tesserae, hand-inlaid and grouted to create a softly undulating surface. The palette moves through warm chalk whites, faint mineral veining and subtle honeyed inclusions, recalling the aged floors of historic Italian Roman Catholic churches. Each piece is assembled on a substrate using adhesive, then grouted and ground to a semi-rough finish that enhances its rustic authenticity while retaining refinement. Sizes range from 10 x 10 cm up to 100 x 100 cm. Thickness is 10 mm for tiles and 10 mm to 19 mm for wall panels. It is suited to floors and walls where a restrained, textural stone surface is desired.

Semi Rough Agate Mosaic with Subtle Tonal Movement

The surface depends on close differences between chalk white, faint honey and mineral veining rather than a strong decorative motif. White Agate Mosaic provides the companion treatment, while Semi-Precious Inlaid Stone Mosaic Cartouche demonstrates a more ornamental hardstone composition. The Semi-Precious Stone Mosaics collection broadens the material vocabulary, and Semi-Precious Tile & Slab is relevant where larger hardstone formats are being considered alongside mosaic.

Reviewing Texture Before Installation

A semi rough agate mosaic should be handled and viewed in project lighting because its character comes as much from texture as colour. Review grout, joint width and adjacent stone together, and inspect several panels for natural mineral variation. The source applications include bathrooms, commercial interiors, fireplace surrounds, flooring, kitchens, leisure and residential interiors, restaurants, swimming pools, tabletops and walling. Confirm substrate preparation, sealing, slip requirements and maintenance for the intended location.
