This green stone field mosaic is a random assembly of mosaic fragments, hand cut and placed by hand. Simple and eye catching, the design shows a random field mosaic. Each stone is carefully selected, cut and then assembled by hand. The slight indentations in the mosaic field enhance the beauty of this mosaic despite its simplicity. Of particular interest is the irregular nature of the small tesserae, they sing and dance. Although randomly placed, there is much to be said about artistic licence here: no single creation will ever be the same. Only the discerning eye would pick this up, a small detail with maximum impact. Green Stone Field Mosaic in Layered Mineral Tones

The palette ranges from deep forest and charcoal-green through sage and muted grey-green, with the pale joints bringing definition to each hand-cut tessera. Variation within the stone keeps the dark surface from becoming flat. Field Mosaic – 5469D provides a darker polychrome comparison, while Field Mosaic – 5469I combines green and pale tesserae with larger contrasting fragments. The Marble & Onyx Collection can support coordination with larger green or dark stone surfaces.
