Scagliola Storm is a storm grey scagliola surface that combines cool mineral colour with the veined, hand-worked depth of stucco marble. The technique allows pigmented plaster to be composed rather than quarried, so movement, contrast and overall tone can be developed around the intended element. In this grey register, the finish can reference stone without becoming a literal imitation of one marble, making it particularly adaptable to restrained contemporary interiors and historically informed details alike.

Storm Grey Scagliola with Layered Movement

The visual strength of Storm comes from tonal variation rather than high colour. It can act as a bridge between the cooler Scagliola Grey and the much darker Scagliola Night Sky, allowing related finishes to be specified across different elements without repeating one tone everywhere. The hand-made nature of scagliola also means that the rhythm of the veining can be considered in relation to the shape of a column, panel or tabletop.

The product is associated with columns, fireplace surrounds, walling, furniture, tabletops and suitable low traffic interior flooring, among other uses subject to specification. Controlling Contrast, Veining and Finish

A representative sample should be reviewed before approval, especially if the finish is being matched to metal, timber or real marble. Decide how active the veining should be, whether the ground needs to read warm or cool and how reflective the final surface should appear.
