This terracotta basket weave uses European reclaimed bricks in a classic interlocking arrangement, defined by pale blond clays, gentle wear and the quiet irregularity of genuine age. Salvaged from historic buildings, the bricks carry a softened patina: rubbed edges, faint surface striations, lime traces and tonal drift from biscuit and sand through to warm straw and light clay.

Laid in basket weave, the format introduces structure and rhythm without feeling rigid, creating a floor that reads as traditional yet clean, particularly in lighter interiors. The terracotta basket weave is well suited to kitchens, entrance halls, garden rooms, boot rooms and wine cellars, as well as contemporary schemes that want texture and history without dark colour. As with all reclaimed terracotta, batches vary and sizes can drift slightly. This dimensional irregularity gives the repeat a less mechanical character than a newly manufactured basket weave.
