Sticky Toffee (light)

This amber marbled tile moves through honeyed gold, ochre, caramel and deep umber, producing a warm ceramic field with the visual richness suggested by its Sticky Toffee name. Sweeping currents and darker mineral-like accents give the surface depth, while natural changes in tonal balance prevent the repeat from becoming predictable. It can bring movement to a scheme without introducing a figurative or geometric motif.

Amber Marbled Tile with Medieval Material Character

The decorative arts associated with medieval Champagne grew from an intimate knowledge of alluvial clays, pigments and firing. Workshops produced tiles for religious buildings and noble interiors, and the final colour depended as much on material and heat as on the maker’s design. Sticky Toffee (light) draws on that principle of controlled uncertainty. Its interest lies in the interaction of warm tones across the ceramic surface, creating an effect closer to a fired tapestry or marbled paper than a uniform factory finish.

For a redder interpretation of coloured-clay movement, the Terracotta and Cream Marbled Tile introduces clay-red and ivory veining. Sticky Toffee mix extends the idea into brown-and-cream and black-and-cream combinations. Beyond this collection, the Delft Bronze Crackle Glazed Tile shares a warm tobacco and bronze register, while the Pennello Paprika Brushed Terracotta Tile offers a quieter earthen surface shaped by visible hand application.

Planning Warm Colour and Veining

Sticky Toffee (light) can be considered for feature walls, splashbacks, fireplace surrounds, entrance statements, decorative panels and other supported applications. Lay out several tiles before installation so broad amber areas, darker umber passages and pale highlights are balanced across the composition. Lighting should be reviewed with samples because warm glazes and clay tones can shift between daylight and artificial illumination. Confirm substrate, grout, joint width, maintenance and project-specific floor, pool or warm-climate exterior suitability before specification.
