Onice Tanzania Giallo is a rare luxury yellow onyx quarried in Tanzania, admired for its translucent golden, honey, cream, amber and soft brown movement. Also known in the stone trade as Tanzania Yellow Onyx or Onice Giallo, this luminous material has the warmth of honeyed alabaster with the depth and polish of fine decorative onyx.

While Onice Tanzania Giallo is a contemporary luxury onyx rather than a single classical marble of antiquity, it belongs to the wider family of translucent onyx, alabaster and banded calcite stones prized since ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman times for vessels, carved objects, sacred interiors and ornamental detail.

Its natural ability to diffuse light makes it especially powerful for backlit panels, bar fronts, bathrooms, vanity tops, wall features, furniture and statement slabs where rare onyx, golden colour and material atmosphere are central to the design.

Onice Tanzania Giallo and Golden Onyx

Planning Light and Band Direction

The live stone image shows broad cream and golden bands with softer cloudy transitions. Review the actual slab before cutting so that the strongest layered movement falls deliberately across panels, furniture or bar fronts. If backlighting is proposed, test the selected piece under the intended lighting system because colour density and mineral banding affect how evenly light passes through the stone.
