Nero Eclipse Onyx is a rare black onyx of exceptional depth and movement, hand selected for its dramatic natural patterning. Veins of ivory, smoke and mineral warmth flow through an inky field, creating a surface that feels almost celestial. Available in both tile and slab formats.

Nero Eclipse Onyx is defined by its intense black ground, layered with organic bands of cream, soft gold and translucent grey. The swirling formations resemble mineral constellations suspended within stone, each slab entirely unique.

Like all materials within De Ferranti’s Rare Marble & Onyx collection, this onyx is sourced from limited or rediscovered deposits. Blocks are hand picked, often from forgotten quarries, secured through longstanding relationships and a rigorous selection process. If it is not rare, it does not belong here.

The material may carry a familiar generic classification, but it is the selection that sets it apart. Tonal variation, depth of translucency and character staining are carefully assessed to ensure only the most striking examples are offered.

Suitable for feature walls, vanity tops, statement flooring and backlit installations, Nero Eclipse Onyx is available in slab for large-scale architectural applications and precision-cut tiles for more structured layouts. Each piece is a geological artwork shaped over millennia.

Backlighting and Slab Composition

Where illumination is proposed, test the actual slab because the black, cream and grey areas transmit light differently. Joint placement should also respond to the circular and banded formations rather than interrupting the most distinctive mineral structures.
