Leather Floor & Wall Tiles

De Ferranti leather floor tiles are applied to a stable marine ply base and come in a range of natural colours, including natural, tan and chocolate, as well as vivid contemporary colours such as saffron and mustard. Custom colours can be produced to order. This is a highly sensual collection; the feel and aroma of natural leather are visually enhanced by decorative techniques including embossing, hammering and stamping.

Designed for use on interior walls and floors, leather can be laid in a variety of patterns including herringbone and Parquet de Versailles. It is also designed to work in combination with other De Ferranti collections, from metal to stone.

A collaboration with textile designer Neisha Crosland has resulted in a contemporary collection of leather tiles etched with her popular Molly pattern.

Leather Floor Tiles as a Material Surface

Leather floor tiles bring the vocabulary of saddlery, patination and decorative leatherworking into an interior surface. Rather than presenting as a uniform manufactured finish, the material gains character through colour, grain, hand finishing and the chosen layout. De Ferranti's Hide Collection explores brogue-inspired detailing, briquettes, paviers, herringbone and Parquet de Versailles, while the Molly Leather Collection introduces Neisha Crosland's graphic repeat and stronger colour.

The collection can also be considered alongside De Ferranti's metal floor and wall tiles, where related modular formats and parquet-based layouts allow contrasting materials to be developed within the same project language.

Specifying Leather Wall and Floor Tiles

Leather wall tiles and flooring benefit from early review of colour, pattern scale and adjacent materials. Samples are particularly useful when judging natural tonal variation, patina and the relationship between leather, timber, metal or stone. For larger schemes, layout drawings can help resolve borders, herringbone direction, parquet panels and transitions before installation.
