This tile is made by casting copper elements, then setting them into precision-cut recesses within a sandstone field. Once inlaid, the surface is finished to create a clean, unified plane, allowing the pattern to read crisply while keeping the tactile contrast between metal and stone.
The design forms a pinwheel, or windmill-like rotation, with curved copper blades that create movement across a repeat. Subtle surface texture in the sandcast metal adds depth and a slightly aged character, while the sandstone keeps the overall look grounded and architectural. Ideal for feature floors, borders, statement panels, or centrepieces where you want geometry with a material twist.
Available by commission in alternative metals and stones, with bespoke pattern scaling and finish options.
