This piece uses traditional repoussé technique, where thin copper is worked from the reverse to raise the design into sculptural relief. The surface is alive with detail: rhythmic water textures, a patterned sea turtle shell, and a stylised fish form, all articulated through hammer marks, chasing lines, and varied depths of embossing.
Set into a sage stone surround, the copper reads warmer and richer, developing natural tonal variation and patina over time. The stone frame gives the panel architectural presence, allowing it to be used as a feature insert rather than a standalone artwork.
Ideal for doors, coffered ceilings, cabinetry panels, feature walls, fireplace details, bar fronts, and bespoke tile compositions. Made to special commission, with scale, subject matter, metal finish and stone selection tailored to the project.
