The Leonarda green terracotta tile is hand-painted in Southern Italy with shades of white arranged over a green background. Both the ground and terracotta body are delicately aged, so each piece carries its own tonal and surface variation. De Ferranti identifies the design as Sicilian in origin and 18th century in character, with four tiles forming the complete repeat.

Pale ornament appears clearly against the green field, yet the softened glaze prevents the contrast from feeling newly printed. The larger composition brings together floral, foliate and geometric forms in a symmetrical arrangement. Handmade differences in line, ageing and pigment density create movement across the repeated surface without disrupting its underlying order.

For an earthier interpretation, Leonarda Olive Green and White uses the same repeat in a muted tone, while Ignazio presents a more line-led green composition over off-white. Leonarda Green may be specified for floors, feature walls, kitchens, bathrooms, staircases, fireplace surrounds, restaurants and selected warm-climate exterior areas, subject to project requirements. It works naturally beside pale limestone, lime plaster, warm timber and aged brass. Because the repeat depends on four correctly oriented tiles, the layout should be established before fixing. Samples should be reviewed for green tonal range, ageing, grout colour and edge character, then blended rather than sorted during installation. Confirm format, thickness and suitability for the intended floor, wall or wet-area application before ordering.
