The Leonarda olive terracotta tile is hand-painted in a Southern Italian artisan studio with shades of white over an olive green background. Its ground and tile body have been delicately aged, producing natural differences from piece to piece. De Ferranti identifies the pattern as Sicilian in origin and 18th century in character, with four tiles forming the full ornamental repeat.

Olive green has a close relationship with the warm clay beneath the glaze, giving this colourway a settled, mineral character. White foliate and geometric forms cross the four modules to create a balanced composition, while variation in the aged field prevents the repeat from appearing mechanically uniform. The result can sit comfortably beside stone, timber and lime-based finishes.

Leonarda Green and White provides a fresher version of the same pattern, while Lucia Olive Green and White offers a more flowing alternative. Leonarda Olive can be considered for entrance floors, kitchens, bathrooms, staircases, fireplace surrounds, wall panels, restaurant interiors and suitable warm-climate exterior settings, subject to specification. Its four-tile geometry should be established in a dry layout so that motif centres, edges and transitions remain deliberate. Samples are useful for confirming olive tonal range, ageing and grout colour under the project's lighting. The pieces should be blended during installation to distribute surface variation evenly.
