This unique offset limestone border is fashioned from carefully selected tones of Black & Cream limestone, framed with a terracotta strip, over a cement base ensuring that the border is not only stable and sound, but also easy to install. Totally handcut, hand assembled, a truly handmade product. No border is the same as the artist’s hand is vital in creating natural nuances within each interlocking piece. Thicknesses can be 1cm or 2cm or to order as can the border widths and material combinations. All the De Ferranti borders are fully customisable.

Offset Limestone Border with Terracotta Strip Detail

Emerald Isle Border 5 has the strongest graphic character of this group, using alternating black and cream limestone blocks in a staggered repeat. The offset rhythm gives the border movement, while the terracotta strips warm the monochrome palette and help each section feel hand-assembled rather than machine-regular.

This offset limestone border is suitable for interiors where a floor or wall detail needs definition, contrast and a more grounded material character. It can frame a stone floor, mark a threshold, create a perimeter band, outline a fireplace surround or introduce a tailored black and cream border into a larger scheme, subject to final specification and installation method.
