Teak Bone Inlay Panel – Floral Cabochon

Teak Bone Floral Panel – Teak Bone Inlay Panel – Floral Cabochon

A teak panel inlaid with hand-cut bone in a flowing floral motif, suitable as a cabochon detail, door insert, or decorative object panel within our Bone and Horn selection.

This piece pairs the rich, honey-brown grain of teak with crisp bone inlay, cut into petals, leaves and stems and set flush into the timber. The contrast is clean and graphic, but the drawing stays soft and ornamental, with a gentle, hand-crafted irregularity that gives the panel its character.

Use it as an accent within joinery or furniture: cabinet doors, drawer fronts, headboards, wall panels, framed inserts, or object showcases where a single panel becomes the focal point. The panel can also be adapted in scale and layout for bespoke commissions.

As with all natural materials, expect subtle variation in wood tone and bone colour, along with minor marks that reflect artisan production rather than factory uniformity.

Teak Bone Floral Panel for Joinery and Detail

This teak bone floral panel is more intimate than a repeating field tile. It reads as a decorative insert, where the warm timber ground and pale bone motif can be used to add a single moment of ornament within a larger interior scheme. The floral composition is soft and flowing, with carved petals, leaves and fine stems arranged across the teak in a balanced horizontal panel.

The strength of the design lies in the contrast between natural warmth and pale detail. The teak gives depth, grain and honey-brown tone, while the bone inlay brings clarity to the flower and leaf forms. Because the motif is hand-cut and set into timber, the surface feels crafted rather than printed or mechanically applied.

For clarity, this is a bone inlay and teak panel, not ivory. It belongs to De Ferranti’s specialist surface language of inlay, natural materials and decorative detailing for interiors, furniture and bespoke object-led projects.

Decorative Use and Related Cabochon Work

Teak Bone Floral Panel can be considered for cabinet fronts, drawers, doors, headboards, wall panels, framed inserts, screens, object showcases and furniture details. Subject to specification, backing and intended wear, it may also be adapted for broader interior use where a small decorative panel is required.
