Hive is a striking natural texture surface made from thin-sliced, abandoned termite hive, inlaid into a substrate and finished with white grout, creating an organic cellular pattern where no two tiles are ever alike.

This material celebrates the unexpected beauty of nature’s own architecture. Sections of abandoned termite nest are carefully sliced into pieces, inlaid onto a backing with adhesive, then grouted and ground to a smooth finished surface. The result is a dense, hive-like network of lines and chambers that reads somewhere between fossil, coral, and cracked earth.

Supplied in its natural colouration, Hive can be paired with any grout colour on request, allowing the pattern to be softened, intensified, or made more graphic depending on the scheme. Because the source material is entirely natural, every surface varies in marking, density, and rhythm - part of what makes the finish so compelling.

Available sizes: 10 x 10 cm up to 100 x 100 cm. Thickness varies by application: tiles approx. 10 mm, wall panels approx. 10 mm to 19 mm.
