This Coconut Bark Mosaic is composed of small, square-cut pieces of reclaimed coconut bark, hand-laid to form a richly textured, organic grid. Crafted from eco-friendly recycled material, it celebrates natural variation while offering a highly architectural surface.

Each bark square carries its own tonal nuance – from warm honey and toasted almond to deep espresso and charcoal flecks. The material is sun dried, treated for durability, precision cut into small modules, and hand inlaid onto a stable substrate. A final manual sanding enhances the rustic texture, softening edges while preserving the bark’s natural grain and markings.

Unlike uniform timber mosaics, this surface thrives on irregularity. The subtle shifts in colour, density, and fibre direction create depth and movement, making it ideal for feature walls and tactile architectural details.
