Volcanicus Viola
Volcanicus Viola is a richly pigmented purple volcanic stone, alive with inclusions, ash flecks and subtle tonal shifts that move from deep aubergine and iron-red to charcoal and smoky grey. Its surface tells a geological story - porous in places, dense and compact in others, with natural voids and crystalline specks embedded within the body of the stone.

Each piece is distressed by hand to achieve a genuinely time-worn character. The stone is aged, selectively filled, sealed and waxed, enhancing its depth while preserving its rugged authenticity. The finish may be softly matt, gently burnished, or brought to our signature Egg Shell - never overly polished, always tactile.

Unlike machine-finished stone, Volcanicus Viola retains a subtle undulation across its surface, revealing the human hand in its making. The fragments catch light differently across the face, giving quiet movement and warmth to what might otherwise be a dense material.

Available as tiles or brick formats, it is particularly suited to interiors seeking a historic, almost monastic gravitas - surfaces that feel excavated rather than manufactured.
