Interspersed within the rhythm are glazed German blue cabochons – saturated cobalt through to inky indigo. Their glossy surface catches the light differently from the matte terracotta and honed stone, punctuating the floor with moments of depth and brilliance. The blue reads almost jewel-like against the earth tones.
The geometry is disciplined yet lively: small square modules, triangular inserts and directional shifts create a subtle diagonal energy across the surface. It is a floor that feels historic – reminiscent of southern European cloisters and grand entry halls – yet entirely bespoke in its material marriage.
