Quattro Waxed Terracotta Tile is made from hand-formed terracotta that is decorated, kiln fired and then carefully waxed to deepen colour and impart a tactile, almost burnished surface. The waxing process enhances the clay’s warmth, giving the tile a patina reminiscent of aged leather while protecting and enriching the material.

The repeating quatrefoil-inspired motif, rendered in contrasting tones, brings rhythm and structure while retaining the natural irregularities of handmade production. Subtle variations in colour, slight undulations and the occasional trace of the maker’s hand ensure that no two tiles are exactly alike.
