From De Ferranti’s Semi-Precious Tile and Slab collection, this labradorite is selected for its deep charcoal-to-midnight base and intense labradorescence - shifting bursts of cobalt, sapphire, and icy blue that appear and disappear as you move around the surface. The slab is naturally fractured and reassembled in a brecciated composition, with “seams” creating a bold, architectural of angular pieces.
Set within the field, an inclusion introduces a warm, honeyed counterpoint to the cool blues - a small fossil medallion that adds narrative and scale to the composition. The contrast between the ’s organic spiral and the slab’s fractured geometry creates a powerful focal tension: ancient marine life embedded in an igneous, cosmic-looking stone.
Suitable for statement tabletops, kitchen islands, bars, reception desks, vanity tops, fireplace details, and feature wall panels. Labradorite can also be cut into tiles for bespoke cladding or inset panels, and can be paired with metals, dark marbles, or pale stones to sharpen contrast or frame the fossil detail. Ideal wherever you want a surface that reads as both material rarity and functional artwork.
