Hand moulded and traditionally fired, these tiles were largely produced before the end of the 19th century, with many reclaimed floors dating back as far as the 17th century. This is terracotta with genuine provenance: the surfaces carry centuries of wear, softened edges and gentle undulation, and it is not uncommon to find individual tiles stamped with the original maker’s monogram.
Blanc Rose is available in a selection of traditional formats, including square tiles in approximate sizes of 16 x 16 cm and 20 x 20 cm, as well as hexagons. As with all reclaimed terracotta, thickness varies, typically around 25 to 30 mm, and variation in tone, texture and edge definition is part of the material’s authenticity.
Ideal for interiors that want heritage without heaviness - entrance halls, kitchens, dining rooms and character-led restorations where the floor should feel aged, luminous and quietly exceptional. Supply is extremely limited and batches vary, so careful selection and blending are essential to achieve an even, balanced overall flow.
