Neisha Crosland
Heraldic Pietre Dure Cabochon
A heraldic cabochon created using the tradition - contrasting stones precisely inlaid to form a bold emblem with jewel-like depth and permanence.

This piece sits firmly within the craft: hardstones and marbles are cut into exact components, then assembled as a seamless inlay to create a crisp heraldic motif. The cabochon format gives the design a contained, architectural presence, reading as both decorative insert and miniature stone medallion.

Materials can be tailored to the crest or emblem - from warm limestones and marbles to semi-precious stones - allowing tonal subtlety or high contrast depending on the brief. Used as a centrepiece within floors and pavements, a wall panel focal point, a threshold detail, or a bespoke branding element for private residences and hospitality projects.

Made to commission, with custom sizes, borders, and stone selections available.
