Travertine Herringbone is composed from slim rectangular travertine pieces set in a tight herringbone layout, creating a gentle zig-zag movement across the surface. The stone sits in sandy beiges and biscuit creams with subtle tonal variation, giving the pattern depth without high contrast.
Specified as filled and honed, the natural voids of travertine are filled for a smoother, more practical surface, then honed to a matte finish that feels calm and tactile rather than glossy. This makes it well suited to floors and walls where you want warmth and texture, but with cleaner lines and easier maintenance than unfilled material.
Use it for bathroom floors and walls, kitchens, entrance halls, shower niches, feature panels, and hearth surrounds. A grout in warm light grey or soft beige will keep joints quiet and let the herringbone read as a continuous surface. As with all travertine, sealing is essential, particularly in wet areas and high-traffic zones, and ongoing care should avoid acidic cleaners to preserve the stone and its filled finish.
