From De Ferranti’s Geometrics and Combinations collection, this stone “Parquet de Versailles” module reimagines a historic timber floor language in layered tones. A central cross-like geometry is built from pale beige pieces cut into faceted lozenges, creating a subtle 3D effect as light moves across the surface.
Around the centre, square fields of burnt red add depth and warmth, while the outer frame in yellow provides a sunlit, antiquity-led glow. Fine black detailing at the perimeter sharpens the module and helps the layout read cleanly when repeated across a full floor.
The palette is deliberately earthy rather than high-contrast, giving the pattern its richness through tone and material character - gentle mottling, variation, and the dry softness that does so well. Ideal for entrance halls, corridors, kitchens, bathrooms, and covered courtyards where you want heritage geometry with a fresh, architectural feel.
