The dark tesserae are irregularly cut, preserving their natural edges and mineral variation. Set within the lighter field, they create a dynamic interplay of positive and negative space. From a distance, the design reads as fluid and continuous. Up close, the texture of each individual fragment reveals the craftsmanship behind the pattern.
