Cut from authentic reclaimed Jerusalem stone - often referred to as Biblical stone - this mosaic carries true patina and instant antiquity. Warm creams, honeyed ochres, and dusty terracotta notes drift across a soft scale pattern, creating a surface that feels both ancient and quietly luminous.

From De Ferranti’s Antique Stone category, this series is made from original, antique Jerusalem stones, reclaimed from historic floors and re-cut into mosaic format to give the material a new lease of life. Each piece retains the gentle wear of time: softened edges, subtle pitting, mineral speckling, and naturally varied tone that cannot be replicated in new stone.

The “fish scale” format creates a flowing, overlapping rhythm across the surface. The individual scales vary slightly in colour and character, moving between parchment, sand, straw-gold, pale limestone , and occasional warm rust tones. The result is decorative without being loud - texture-led, tactile, and beautifully suited to spaces that want warmth and heritage.

These mosaics can be supplied in random finish and are ideal for use as a full field, as feature sections, or combined with other antique stone formats to create geometric and pictorial panels.
