Verdant Bird Verre Églomisé Panel is executed using traditional reverse-glass and painting techniques. Layers of leaf, colour and fine detailing are applied to the reverse of the glass, then selectively distressed to achieve a gently aged ground rich in tonal variation.
The composition features a perched green bird set among branching limbs and stylised foliage, accompanied by clustered fruit forms that lend rhythm and balance to the scene. The painterly treatment is intentionally delicate, allowing the foxed and mottled mirror to remain visible, so that light interacts with both image and surface.
This fusion of decoration and patinated reflection produces a panel that reads simultaneously as artwork and architectural material. Ideal for feature walls, framed compositions, screens or furniture inserts, each piece is made to commission with scope for adjustments in palette, scale and level of antiquing to suit the intended interior.
