Inspired by the mirrored rooms of Mughal architecture , this small-format mosaic is designed to multiply light and atmosphere. A refined way to add sparkle and depth without resorting to large, flat mirror sheets.

The tesserae begin as glass blown into balloon-like forms. These “balloons” are then mirrored, handcut into 1 x 1 cm pieces, and carefully glued onto a marble mosaic base to create subtle depth and a more jewel-like reflection. The natural variation in each handcut cube produces a lively surface that refracts light in many directions, rather than reading as a uniform mirror plane.

Supplied on mesh-backed sheets for ease of installation, it is ideal for interior architectural detailing, including niches, alcoves, feature walls, ceiling inserts, columns, bar fronts, and decorative borders. Available by commission in alternative mirror tones and levels of antiquing to suit the brief.
