From De Ferranti’s Magma Collection, Velvet Magma is the softer, more atmospheric expression of our Lava heritage. Inspired by the molten landscapes of Santorini and Mount Etna, this two-tone glazed lava brick combines raw volcanic strength with a velvet-like surface depth.

Split-faced and subtly tonal, each briquette carries organic movement across its surface. The two-tone glazing enhances texture and light interaction, creating shadow play that shifts throughout the day.

Like all De Ferranti lava, Velvet Magma withstands extremely high temperatures. It behaves much like ceramic – it can be glazed, fired and customised – yet retains the geological integrity of volcanic stone.

Ideal for dramatic wall features, spa environments, pool surrounds and statement vertical installations. When carefully lit, the surface becomes almost liquid – as though magma is slowly rising through the architecture.
