Basalt Current is cast from pigmented cement with a speckled, stone-like body, then inlaid with pale rectangular and square pieces that drift in undulating rows. The layout feels like contour lines or water currents, giving the tile rhythm without a rigid repeat.
The palette is deliberately restrained: deep grey against crisp white inlay, making it easy to pair with natural stone, timber, brass, blackened , or plain cement fields. Use it as a feature wall, shower panel, floor insert, or as a full field where you want pattern that reads architectural rather than decorative.
Expect the quiet variation that comes with hand-crafted cement tiles, including subtle tonal shifts and small irregularities that add depth once installed. A grout in warm grey or charcoal will keep the pattern cohesive and reduce visual grid lines.
