This tile is composed from rounded, arched “paddles” that interlock into a dense, scaled field. The glaze is a rich lapis-blue with subtle variation, giving the surface a sense of depth rather than a flat colour. Set within each paddle, chevron-like inlays of red introduce warm contrast - from brick and oxblood tones to brighter russet highlights depending on the cut and finish.
The combination of glossy ceramic and natural stone inlay creates a layered surface experience: smooth, light-catching blue curves, then the tactile shift into ’s grain and speckle. The pattern reads as graphic from a distance, then becomes richly material up close, where each stone insert carries its own natural nuance.
Also available in a ceramic colourway for a brighter, more Mediterranean interpretation of the same Egyptian-inspired geometry.
