This brown lip pearl mosaic reveals warm undertones of honey, bronze and soft caramel, animated by flashes of green and pearl as light moves across its brick-format surface. The regular geometry gives the material a composed rhythm, while the shell’s natural banding prevents the field from becoming visually uniform.
Mother of Pearl is the nacreous inner layer of the shell and is composed predominantly of calcium carbonate. Slight differences in tone, size and internal pattern are therefore inherent, and no two pieces share exactly the same optical depth. The surface is protected by a thin polyurethane top coat. Existing care guidance states that the shell should not come into contact with acidic materials such as vinegar, wine, champagne, lemon juice or acid-based cleaners. The listed pattern size is 3 x 4.8 cm.
For a more linear, nearly groutless reading of warm shell, see Brown Lip Hinge – No Grout. The Black Lip Mother of Pearl Mosaic provides a darker brick-format alternative, while the wider Shells & Mother of Pearl collection includes white, gold, abalone and Capiz surfaces for coordinated schemes.
A brown lip pearl mosaic can sit comfortably with walnut, bronze, warm limestone and darker painted joinery, but those pairings should be checked against a physical sample because shell colour changes with illumination. For tabletops, fireplace surrounds, bathrooms or commercial interiors, confirm backing, edge details, fixing method and cleaning requirements for the intended setting. On larger fields, review sheet joins and overall colour distribution before installation to preserve the quiet brick rhythm.
