Labradorite Slab – Ammonite Inclusion is a labradorite ammonite slab with a dark charcoal-to-midnight field, electric blue flashes and a single warm fossil inclusion. The contrast is immediate, but the surface changes character as the viewing angle and light change.

From De Ferranti’s Semi-Precious Tile and Slab collection, this labradorite is selected for intense labradorescence, with shifting bursts of cobalt, sapphire and icy blue across the darker ground. Labradorite is a feldspar whose internal structure can produce broad flashes of spectral colour, making light an active part of how the slab is read.

The composition is brecciated, with angular pieces and mineral seams creating a fractured geometry. Set within the field, the ammonite inclusion introduces honey and amber tones. Its spiral form creates a compact organic focus against the slab’s cooler colour and more angular structure.
