This earthy lattice mosaic is a sophisticated mosaic creation with a discerning look and tactile, textural feel. The simple, eye-catching design shows an understated polychrome mosaic pencil lattice over a random earthy field with green, blue, lilac and bluebell highlights. Each stone is carefully selected, cut and then assembled by hand. The slight indentations in the mosaic field enhance the beauty of the surface despite its simplicity. Of particular interest is the irregular nature of the small tesserae: they sing and dance. Although randomly placed, there is much to be said for artistic licence, as no single creation will ever be the same. Only the discerning eye would pick this up, a small detail with maximum impact. Earthy Lattice Mosaic with Mineral Colour

Reticolo 2 uses the same disciplined pencil-lattice idea as its companion design but shifts the field towards an earthier palette. Green, blue, lilac and bluebell accents introduce cool mineral notes without forming a rigid repeat. Reticolo 1 Mosaic provides the clearest comparison, with red joining blue and green highlights. For a different geometric treatment, Sabina Mosaic uses octagons and dots over irregular cream tesserae.

Balancing Lattice, Randomness and Grout

An earthy lattice mosaic benefits from viewing several sections together before installation so the coloured stones remain naturally scattered and the fine lattice reads continuously. Select grout alongside the sample, since a sympathetic tone keeps the field soft while contrast makes the small-scale construction more graphic. Set out room perimeters in advance so the lattice finishes intentionally. For floors and warm-climate exterior areas, confirm substrate preparation, sealing, slip performance and exposure suitability for the chosen stones and finish.
