This handcrafted mosaic combines a finely laid tessellated ground with inset shaped fragments of Connemara marble, allowing the rich veining and organic movement of the stone to become the focal point. Each larger marble element is carefully cut and framed within a disciplined grid of smaller tesserae, creating contrast between texture and scale.

A composition that celebrates the depth and character of Irish Green marble - also known as Connemara Green.

Connemara Green is prized for its layered tones of moss, jade and deep forest green, with natural striations that make every piece unique. When set within the mosaic field, these fragments read almost like windows into the landscape of the stone itself.

As with all pieces in the Stone & Marble Mosaics Collection, each tessera is cut and laid by hand in our workshop near Venice. The result is a surface that honours the longevity, artistry and tradition of ancient mosaic making while introducing rare and characterful materials.
