Volcanicus Fragment (mod A.55130009)

This volcanic stone surface celebrates the dramatic variation found within naturally formed material. Deep charcoal and ash-grey fragments are intersected by lighter mineral veins, creating a fractured, almost tectonic composition across the tile.

Raw energy captured in stone.

The irregular patterning is entirely organic, shaped by geological forces rather than mechanical repetition. Subtle tonal shifts, from smoky greys to warm mineral undertones, give the surface depth and quiet movement.

Durable and dense by nature, volcanic stone offers both strength and visual intrigue. Ideal for floors, feature walls or statement installations, it brings a grounded, elemental presence to contemporary interiors.

Formed by fire. Defined by variation. Naturally expressive.

Volcanic Stone Surface with Fragmented Pattern

Volcanicus Fragment adds another register to that natural variation through its visible composition of dark irregular pieces, pale intersecting lines and small warm brown and cream accents. Rather than relying on a uniform repeat, the surface reads as a field of changing fragments. Its antiqued finish further supports a softened, materially varied appearance.

For comparison within the range, Volcanicus Mix uses a grid of small square pieces and broader mineral colour, while Volcanicus Sienna develops warmer terracotta-related tones and linear patterning.

Specifying Fragmented Volcanic Stone

The product is listed for flooring, walling, bathrooms, kitchens, fireplace surrounds, tabletops and warm-climate exterior use, among other applications. For any scheme, sample review should assess the balance of dark fragments, pale joints and warmer details over a representative area. Layout planning is particularly important where the composition crosses corners, edges or adjoining surfaces. De Ferranti’s Stone Surfaces with Texture collection provides additional context for projects centred on tactile stone.
