The Appoggi olive terracotta tile is hand-painted in Southern Italy with a leaning, poly-directional design in olive green over an off-white ground. Its single module can be rotated to form several arrangements, giving designers control over whether the finished surface reads as an ordered repeat or a more freely shifting geometry. The delicately aged background and tile body support its Sicilian, 19th-century character.

Olive green sits naturally with the warm colour of terracotta. The result is quieter and more mineral than a vivid emerald glaze, making the pattern useful where a decorative floor or wall must coexist with stone, timber and lime-based finishes. Hand painting leaves small variations in line, density and alignment, while the aged field gives the surface an established quality.

The tile can be specified for interior floors and walls, bathrooms, kitchens, fireplace surrounds, staircases, restaurants, tabletops and selected exterior settings in warm climates, subject to project requirements. Because orientation materially changes the repeat, a numbered layout or dry assembly should be agreed before fixing. This is especially useful across larger connected wall and floor areas.
